An Inner Dialogue: Paying for your mistakes

Ashlei: Would you stop playing with that camera already?
Allie: But--it's summer time. I thought you'd be happy for the break.
Ashlei: *fingers pinched against nose* I am glad for the break, however, I didn't do all the assignments I needed to do and I may fail one of my classes while getting C's in the other ones.
Allie: *puts down camera* I'm sorry to hear that.
Ashlei: *half-smile* thanks. I've been under a lot of stress and now I'm paying for my mistakes.
Allie: Well you have at least two more semesters of college left. I'm sure you can make the President's List before you graduate.
Allie: I mean, you're so smart and all that; just lazy that's all.
Ashlei: This summer I'm not gonna be lazy. In fact, I have my own Tumblr to chronicle my own personal weight loss journey!
Allie: Seriously?! *jumps off couch* Hooray!
Ashlei: *smiles* Thanks!
Allie: So can I film you sleeping now?
Ashlei: No.

An Inner Dialogue: Procrastination

Ashlei: So I've been on Tumblr a lot lately getting inspiration to get healthy.
Allie: *munching on apple slice* Don't you have work to do?
Ashlei: *flipping through Netflix menu* Unhuh, I'll get it done later.
Allie: *pauses*looks at calendar* Are ya sure you wanna do that?
Ashlei: *selecting a movie on Netflix*nods head* Yeah
Allie: Okay! *shrugs shoulders*
Time Lapse: A few Hours later
Ashlei: That was a great movie! *glances at clock by calendar* Holy Shit! It's the 10th already?!
Allie: *yawns* I tried to tell you.
Ashlei: And when would this have been?
Allie: "Allie: Don't you have work to do? Allie: Are ya sure you wanna do that?"
Ashlei: *facepalm* why'd you have to be so subtle?
Allie: because that procrastination bug has been growing on your back for a month now.
Ashlei: I guess I'll get started.
Allie: I guess you will.

An Inner Dialogue: Maintaining Consistency

Ashlei: Blah I can't wait for this semester to be over. I'm way too tired to keep going on like this for much longer.
Allie: *eats last Oreo cookie* So where does that leave me?
Ashlei: *annoyed* What do you mean?
Allie: I mean *pauses* We've been doing all of the things that YOU'VE had to do. When's it going to be my turn?
Ashlei: What *is* it that you want to do?
Allie: I want to make and post videos on YouTube like every week.
Ashlei: OK, so I've been busy with school work, fighting for an internship, sorority stuff, etc. I haven't forgotten about you; I've just been tired.
Ashlei: I'm sorry.
Allie: *sighs* It's okay. So when can we start doing the things I want to do?
Ashlei: In May. I'll be finished with school and all I have to do is work my new job.
Allie: New job?! Since when did you start working? :P
Ashlei: Actually, I'm starting tonight. I'll be making sandwiches. :D
Allie: *excessive grin* Well--
Ashlei: --and no, I'm not bringing you any!

Ashlei: I can't wait until tomorrow afternoon.
Allie: What for?
Ashlei: It's my spring break. One week without classes will give me a chance to relax and catch up on some assignments.
Allie: So, let me get this straight. We have a whole week off to hang around the pool, watch Netflix, and sleep...and you still have to do work?
Allie: Isn't that a "working" vacation?
Ashlei: yes, it's a working vacation
Allie: the main word in working vacation is "vacation" which means no work.
Ashlei: I'm not having this conversation again. Besides, aren't you going to be busy?
Allie: Of course I am but it's fun things like recording videos and stuff, not boring book stuff.
Ashlei: I don't think this is going to be much of a break...*sigh*

An Inner Dialogue: A weekend get-a-way

Allie: *yawn*stretch* I'm so happy it's the weekend! The weather is warm and feels amazing on my skin. I just want to sit by the pool and relax.
Ashlei: Do you know how busy today and this weekend is for me? I have three birthdays to deal with today and I also have to drive all the way down to Orlando for my future mother-in-law's birthday.
Allie: Sounds like fun! Can I have some cake???
Ashlei: Besides birthdays, I've had to deal with midterms, leadership seminars, honors society meetings, and not to mention getting things off. All before this weekend.
Allie: That makes life exciting! *steals grape* Having so much fun stuff to do and then getting to take a vacation?
Ashlei: I'm not going to be able to relax at all.
Allie: I'll be relaxing. Sitting by the pool, writing a new script and finishing up some editing on some old footage.
Ashlei: I hate you.
Allie: you loooovveee me.
Ashlei: *sighs*

Aaand now I [we]feel better

So after feeling completely terrible, I went to Taco Bell for some midday relief. After eating a beefy crunch burrito and a lot of water, I felt a little better.

Drove back to campus and talked to my significant other for a bit before dropping him off at class and parking my tiny car in a semi-empty parking lot.

Sleep, sleep, sleep and wake up. *yawn* nice nap.

Moved the car to the other side of campus and now I’m in a computer lab procrastinating on some homework and waiting for class to start.

I wish I had more Google+ friends…
